THE Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio has assured President Muhammadu Buhari that the peace in the Niger Delta region would be sustained to ensure enough resources to run the country.

Akpabio, while congratulating the President on his victory at the Presidential Election Tribunal, said increase in the production of crude oil would bring stability and peace for the country and avert insurgency in the Niger Delta Region.

The Minister also assured the President that there would be value for money and sustainable peace where more youths and indigenes of the Niger Delta will be involved in economic activities that will better their lots.

He promised a new Niger Delta, where there would be no abandoned projects and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) would not engage in politically motivated road projects that would be washed away after six months.
