Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has adjourned till September 10, 2019 for final addresses by the petitioners and respondents after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) closed their cases.
The tribunal chairman commended the parties as well as their counsel for their cooperation and orderly conduct during the presentation of witnesses.
While closing his case, counsel to the second respondent (PDP), Tayo Oyetibo (SAN), said calling more witnesses would serve no useful purpose, and thanked the tribunal chairman for accommodating them.
Counsel to INEC, Sylva Ogwemoh (SAN), adopted the evidences of the respondents as his.
