Nassarawa State Governor, Tanko Al-Makura

Outgoing Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State has inaugurated projects initiated by his administration in the last one week.

Among the infrastructure commissioned were the state liaison office in Abuja with 150 furnished rooms, the multi-billion naira new state high court headquarters as well as the new complex of the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH), Lafia to better the welfare of the people.

The medical facility, according to Al-Makura, was expanded to enable it accommodate more 200 beds to make 400 in whole.

He noted that the enormous challenges faced by the hospital in terms of facility, upsurge in the number of patients and lack of adequate consultants to attend to critical cases prompted government’s intervention.

The state chief executive acknowledged that the decision staved off unwarranted referrals.
