Former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Timi Alaibe, and the senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, have indicated interest to contest the November 16,2019 governorship elections in Bayelsa and Kogi states.

To give vent to their aspirations, the pair yesterday picked their nomination and expression of interest forms from the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja.

Flanked by supporters, Alaibe promised an all-round economic prosperity for the Bayelsa people as well as tackling of youth restiveness if elected.

Melaye, on his part, said he was in the race to redeem Kogi from the shackles of poverty, insecurity and parlous education.
