On the 8th of December 2017, Kinabuti & Friends brought a large slice of Christmas cheer to Orile, a low income underdeveloped community in Lagos state. The annual Christmas Party, which featured a full raft of entertainment, as well as gift bags for over one thousand students, was delivered with love and contributions from the many donors, volunteers and supporters.

The initiative was a huge success thanks to the special support of Pepsi Nigeria Nigeria and OIPA, Orile Iganmu Progressive Association (Orile based no-profit organization)

“The children are very happy, they feel the love you are here to give,” said one of the teachers of the many kids present.

“We want to thank you for the opportunity to share in your mission to inspire, encourage and love”.

One thousand children participated in educative and entertaining activities brought by the Eko Samba Community, WeCyclers, Maje and his HIIT, the Vama Wave Foundation, Lantern books, Arts & Crafts by Ghettit Edutainment the students of Unilag.

It was a celebration filled with plenty of excitement and happiness that ended with the kids going home with beautiful gifts donated by SPAR, Dana Plastic, Pepsi, Vital, Colombina, Sarsoli, La Taverna, Wilson’s Lemonade, OASIS MEDSPA, Polyproducts and Sympli Yours.

With the funds raised, a number of well-needed improvements will be made to the schools of Coker and Igamu community, which includes 6 Nursery and Primary Schools.

It was a day whose memory would remain fresh in the minds of the children for a long time, with memories of Father Christmas, the huge bouncing castle and the smiles on the faces of the volunteers. The day served to remind everyone on the importance of giving.
