Ambode appoints HoS, Umahi fires Attorney General
Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the appointment of Folasade Sidikatu Adesoye as the Head of Service (HoS) in the state.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Habib Aruna yesterday said Adesoye’s appointment takes effect from November 11, 2017, following the retirement of the outgoing HoS, Olabowale Ademola on November 10, 2017.
Meanwhile, the Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi yesterday fired the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Augustine Nwankwegu over inconsistencies with his official duties.
Nwankwegu, former Speaker Ebonyi House of Assembly, is the first commissioner in the state to be sacked by the present government.
In a statement by his Principal Secretary, Clement Nweke, Umahi said Nwankwegu was relieved of his appointment for “acts inconsistent with his official duties.”
The statement directed the former commissioner to hand over government property in his possession to the permanent secretary, Ministry of Justice.
