The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports
that the congress was held in all the 33 local government areas of the state on Saturday.

Amodu expressed satisfaction with the turnout of members and their peaceful conduct during the congress.

“I have gone round the 11 local government areas in Ibadan and other members went to other councils outside Ibadan. What I saw was a good turnout and peaceful congress. I am impressed.

“The entire stakeholders know that there is an agreed and approved venue for the congress in each local government.

“So, if you take the congress outside the approved venue, whatever you are doing is null and void,” the chairman said.

Amodu commended the APC leadership and its members for their commitments toward building a formidable party ahead of 2023.

He also commended the security agencies for ensuring that the congress went well in all the local government areas.

“I must commend the party for a job well done. I also want to commend the security agencies for standing by us in ensuring that the congress went well.

“What we have witnessed is a peaceful resolution. Oyo APC had a bitter experience in the last governorship election, and I am sure they want to right the wrong.

“What you have seen today is peacefulness and synergy. They are coming together. The congress showed that they are actually ready to wrestle power,” he said.
