Amosun swears in new HoS, chief of staff, commissioner

Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun yesterday swore in Mr. Abayomi Sobande as the 16th Head of Service in the state, Chief Tolu Odebiyi as the Chief of Staff and Mrs. Adepeju Adebajo as the Commissioner for Agriculture.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the sate capital.Amosun charged the trio to brace up for the task ahead, saying, “I want you to see your appointment as one to unite the entire state.”

The governor also urged them to create and provide a good ambience for the public and civil service as well as the entire people of the state, contribute their wealth of knowledge and experience to the development of the State in line with the administration’s five cardinal programmes.

Amosun also advised them to come up with ideas and innovations that would add value to his administration, saying that their appointment was a call to service, the impact of which must be felt in running the administration.

Bequeathing a lasting legacy to the state, the governor called on other members of the cabinet to cooperate with them in discharging their tasks, maintaining that his administration would complete all ongoing projects.

Speaking to journalists after the swearing in, the new appointees promised to complement the efforts of Amosun-led administration in moving the state to an enviable status among the comity of states in the country.They appreciated the governor for counting them worthy for the appointments and pledged to use their garnered experiences to provide quality leadership.
