Anambra assembly tasks Obiano on repair of Onitsha road
The Anambra State House of Assembly has charged Governor Willie Obiano to direct the Commissioner for Works and Housing and his Environment counterpart to commence assessment and repairs on the road leading to the collapse building at Inland Town, Onitsha.
It also directed that the section of the road leading to the building that had been badly damaged should be maintained, while asking the chairman Anambra State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to urgently make arrangement to shelter those who have been displaced by the disaster.
The building collapsed last week at Inland Town, Onitsha, a development that prompted representative of Onitsha North 1 Constituency, Dauglas Nwachukwu, to bring the notice during plenary yesterday, saying the incident happened at his constituency.
