Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano has said that construction of a Millennium City will soon begin in this state.

He announced this at the opening of Awka Millennium City built by M-P Infrastructure Limited.

Represented at the occasion by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Solo Chukwudobelu, the governor said the project would take off in four months’ time.

According to him, Anambra will provide necessary infrastructure in the city, which will compare with similar projects in Abuja, Lagos and developed countries of the world.

He commended M-P Infrastructure for working in line with the state’s projection to meet the time agreed in the project’s memorandum of understanding.
