Operatives of Nnewi Vigilance service in Anambra state have arrested over 30 suspected internet fraudsters also known as ‘Yahoo Boys’ and kidnappers.
  
The vigilance service carried out the arrest during a raid in the area. Some young girls who were allegedly being exploited were also arrested while charms, mobile phones and dozens of SIM cards were recovered from the suspects.
  
The suspects have been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution while the facilities housing the suspects were sealed by the Vigilante Group for further investigation.
 
Confirming the incident, the Anambra state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ikenga Tochukwu, said the suspects were received by the command while investigation has commenced on the matter.
