Anglican Diocese to honour philanthropist, others

The Anglican Diocese of The Coast has disclosed plans to honour the Medical Director and Chief Executive of Living Spring Hospital, Ejigbo, Lagos, Dr Akinsola Akinde, for devoting his medical practice to the service of the poor as the Alatunse Ijo of St. John The Baptist Church, Igbotako, Ondo State.
   
The priest in charge of the church, Venerable Oladejo Luji, in a statement, yesterday, said the investiture would be performed today by the Bishop of the diocese, Oluseyi Pirisola, at the church auditorium in Igbotako.

The venerable noted that Akinde, a surgeon and former consultant at the University of Lagos Teaching Hospital, was being honoured for his immense contributions to the diocese and mankind, especially the less-privileged in his professional calling.
   
The priest also said the Yomi Omogbehin and the wife of Senator Boluwaji Kunlere will be installed as Baba Ijo and Iya Ijo of the church.
