Anthony Joshua presents autographed glove to Tinubu
Two-time World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Anthony Joshua, has presented his autographed glove to President Bola Tinubu.
This was during a visit to the President at his residence in Lagos on Wednesday.
Joshua has earlier visited the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, who bestowed him with the Yoruba name, ‘Omobowale’, meaning ‘the child who has come home.’
The governor also described the boxer as a worthy ambassador of the state.
In his remarks, Joshua said, “My coming home is intentional. I brought my son and some other relatives of mine to Ogun State to learn the culture of our people. I appreciate the Governor for honouring me, and I am fully committed to the development of boxing and other grassroots sports in Ogun State and Nigeria in general.”
