Frightened by the disappearance of a mother of six, Mrs. Ngozi Ugwu and her husband, Sunday Ugwu, members of Obiagu Awkunanaw Community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, have called for government’s intervention.

The community said the disappearance of  the duo is worrisome and cannot be forgotten. Mrs.  Ugwu,  an auxiliary nurse, fondly called Nurse NG by neighbours, and her husband have not been seen in the vicinity and there whereabouts has been unknown even before a team of military and other security operatives raided the secret camp of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), at Akpawfu Community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State.

According to the community leader, Chief Okey Ogbodo Amechi-Obeagu, said: “ We are all living in fear here, we can’t tell when the unknown gunmen will strike and when the government forces will also retaliate .

The people around us are always the victims. We know Nurse Ngozi is a good woman and very kind to us. It is quite unfortunate that we can’t tell what has become of her.”

Another woman said: “ It is a terrible thing that a nurse and her six children will suddenly disappear in our community. She is kind and treats people at her home. We trust her medication and she is a good woman to us here.”
