PFIPC Scandal: Police to arraign alleged fake DG Tuesday

Nigeria Police Force

The Nigeria Police Force is set to arraign an individual alleged to have falsely presented himself as the Director-General of the PFIPC on Tuesday, in what authorities describe as a case of impersonation and related offences.

The planned arraignment follows the conclusion of investigations into allegations that the suspect unlawfully assumed the identity and office of the agency’s Director-General, allegedly carrying out official activities and making representations without lawful authority.

Police sources said the suspect will be charged before a competent courtcourt, where the prosecution is expected to present evidence supporting the allegations.

The case has drawn public attention amid concerns over the integrity of public institutions and the need to protect government agencies from impersonation and fraud.

The police have reiterated their commitment to ensuring that anyone found to have violated the law is prosecuted in accordance with due process, while urging members of the public to disregard unauthorized individuals claiming official positions.

The arraignment is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
