Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the women’s wing of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state for dumping the PDP for the APC.

In a statement, at the weekend, by its Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris, APC commended the public tearing of PDP membership cards by over 1,000 women, who announced their defection from the PDP when they were led into the Government House, Gusau, by their leader, Madina Shehu.

They were, however, welcomed by Governor Bello Matawalle and the state APC Chairman, Tukur Danfulani.

Also, the PDP of House of Assembly candidate for Gusau II, Ibrahim Mada, publicly tore his PDP nomination ticket to join the APC.
