The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), North Central, have warned disgruntled elements against sabotaging the activities of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume.

In a statement Saturday, jointly signed by Messrs Mu’azu Bawa Rijau, and Yakubu Adamu who are the zonal National Vice Chairman and secretary of the party respectively, they passed a vote of confidence on Akume and the five elected governors in the party in the zone.

The zonal leaders maintained that the contribution of the officials to the growth of the party in the zone and indeed the country have been acknowledged by all and sundry.

They stressed that the zonal leadership of the party as constituted and recognised by the National Working Committee (NWC) remain the only authorized organ to speak or comment on activities of the party in the zone, adding no other group or set of individuals are permitted to carry out such functions.

They particularly warned groups in the habit of undermining the SGF and governors of the zone to desist forthwith from using the name of North Central zone of the party in any guise to disparage, attack, and insult them, adding failure to do so will attract the full weight of the law.

“We are proud of the various unprecedented infrastructural and human development going on in all our five controlled states in the zone. All our governors in the zone have remained shining stars in delivering dividends of democracy to our people,” they noted.

They also applauded the Abdullahi Umar Ganduje-led National Working Committee (NWC), for providing leadership and direction for the party.

They called on party members in all the states of zone to remain committed to the ideals, vision and mission of the founding fathers of the party by ensuring that they continue to support and pray for the continued success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
