The All Progressives Congress (APC) has kicked off a digital membership registration exercise for Nigerians living abroad, urging the Diaspora to formally engage in the country’s political process.

Professor Tai Balofin, Special Adviser on Diaspora Coordination and Mobilisation to the APC National Chairman and Chairman of APC-USA, in a statement on Thursday, described the e-registration as a critical step toward modernising party operations and strengthening its global structure.

“Through this platform, both new and existing members worldwide will be captured in a unified digital database, ensuring transparency, coordination, and active engagement,” Balofin said.

He remarked that thousands have already registered, and APC is calling on all Nigerians abroad, party members or not, to join and identify with Nigeria’s governance, regardless of their location.

Balofin urged the Diaspora to remain positively involved in national development, project Nigeria’s image internationally, and avoid actions that could harm the country’s reputation.

He disclosed that registered members will receive hard-copy membership cards at the Nigerian House on February 6 during a Diaspora Economic Summit, where the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, will be the keynote speaker.

The party commended Nigerians abroad for their achievements on the global stage and encouraged them to contribute actively to nation-building through political and developmental engagement.
