APC wants disclosure of states, council workers salaries

Youth wing of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi State under the auspices of Concerned APC Youth has asked Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed to disclose monthly salaries of state and local government workers.

Spokesman of the group, Mukhtar Jibril gave the charge yesterday, while addressing journalists in Bauchi.

He said the call became necessary, as the governor had alleged during his campaign that the previous government used to siphon N1.9 billion monthly during payment of salaries.

“We did not forget his claims during his campaigns. Therefore, we urge him to tell the world the exact amount of money being used to pay state and local governments workers as monthly salaries.

“The new government has started paying salaries now. So, we need to know how much he is paying as salaries so that the people are aware if the his claims are true or false,” he said.
