APC’s State Assembly victory will help Bello’s reelection bid, says Speaker
Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Mathew Kolawole has described the overwhelming victory of the APC at the State House of Assembly election where it won all the 25 seats as a step towards the victory of the governor in the November governorship election.
Speaking after he received his certificate of return along with 24 other members in Lokoja, he said the 25 members being from the APC are going to help the party towards the reelection of the governor in November. He thanked thank God for the opportunity to represent his people in the first place, saying as a second timer he will like to prove to the people in his constituency that his reelection would yield more dividends.
Director General of the APC campaigns Edward Onoja declared that there is no vacancy in Lugard House come January 2020. Onoja made the declaration at the official presentation of certificates of return to the House of Assembly members. He disclosed that with the house now made up of all APC members, it would engender quick passage of laws and smooth implementation of government policies. He assured the people of better days ahead, promising that the state government is making frantic efforts to clear all outstanding salaries, and pensions, as well as in the provision of infrastructure across the state.
