Apostolic Church urges FG to invest in youth development
The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN) has decried the challenges bedeviling the lives of Nigerian youths, causing mass migration, violent crimes, restiveness and delinquent behaviours.
It, therefore, urged the Federal Government to prioritise youth development, saying that the progress and future development of any nation depends, to a large extent, on the youths.
National Youth Leader of the church, Samuel Inyang, who spoke during a three-day youth development leadership retreat, with the theme, “Leadership Excellence,” appealed to the government to address the lingering Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike.
He, however, urged the youths across the country to be law abiding and take part effectively in the forthcoming general elections.
SIMILARLY, Deputy National Youth Leader of TACN, Jude Ekele, urged the youths to troop out en-masse and register for Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to allow them participate actively in the general elections.
In his remarks, the Territorial Youth Leader, Issac Ogunriola, advised the government to prioritise education, saying: “With proper education, people can maximise their contributions to the nation.”
