The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has dismissed the appeal filed against Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Kogi Central Senatorial District.

The court, presided by Justice Bature Gafai, upheld the argument of Johnson Usman (SAN) on behalf of Akpoti-Uduaghan and held that the deponents of the affidavits in support of the originating summons, who were not delegates, could not challenge the delegate election.

It further held that the handwritten purported delegate list by the appellant lacked evidential value.

Relying on the Certified True Copies (CTCs) of the delegate election results and the primary election tendered by Akpoti-Uduaghan, the court upheld the election.

It also held that the appeal lacked merit and dismissed it.
