Appeal Court okays Kano division for speedy dispensation of justice
The Court of Appeal has approved the opening of a division in Kano to facilitate access to and speedy dispensation of justice in the country.
The branch of the appellate court, which is to begin work before the end of February next year, is to decongest cases at the Kaduna division.
The Kaduna division currently entertains cases emanating from lower courts in Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa and Zamfara states.
Kano State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ibrahim Muktar, who broke the news yesterday to reporters in the metropolis, added that the decision by the president of the court, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, would enhance administration of justice in Nigeria.
