Troops of 22 Brigade, deployed for Operation Lafiya Dole, have reunited four abducted children with their parents in Dikwa Council of Borno State.

The children were kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents in Ngafure village and were later rescued at Maima village during clearance operation in Dikwa-Ngala axis.

In a statement yesterday in Maiduguri, the Director of Army Public Relations, Brig-Gen. Texas Chukwu, said 36 hand grenades were also recovered during the operations in the Boko Haram hideouts.

He said the rescued children were receiving medical attention at a military health facility, restating the Nigerian Army’s commitment to rescuing all the hostages held by Boko Haram insurgents.
