AU passes vote of confidence on military

A delegation from the African Union-Economic Social and Cultural Council, led by Dr. Tunji Asaolu, has passed a vote of confidence on the Nigerian Army and the leadership provided by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai.

A delegation from the African Union-Economic Social and Cultural Council, led by Dr. Tunji Asaolu, has passed a vote of confidence on the Nigerian Army and the leadership provided by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai.

The commendation followed a visit to the headquarters of the army yesterday in Abuja.

Asaolu said Buratai had done well in the areas of civil-military relations, internal security, re-organisation, professionalism as well as welfare of officers.
