Chairman of First Bank Plc., Ibukun Awosika, has enjoined Nigerians to shun excessive acquisition of wealth, describing it as worthless.

Speaking at the investiture of Nkeiruka Akarutu-Balogun as the 35th president of Rotary Club of Ikoyi yesterday in Lagos, Awosika said, “When you choose to bring laughter into people’s lives through giving, you will not lack laughter in your home. Our life on earth is a season and nothing else counts than giving to charity.”

Akarutu-Balogun, on her part, said the essence of God’s abundant provisions was to give to those who don’t have, as nobody brought wealth into the world and would take out of it.
