The General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Sanusi Mohammed, has said that Tijani Babangida would not clash with Shuaibu Amodu in the discharge of their duties.

Mohammed told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Friday that the two men might be working to achieve the same goal, but that each of them had his job schedule.

“There is no conflict between the position of Tijani Babangida and Shuaibu Amodu.

“The services of Amodu are not just advisory role, he is a technical director of the NFF and by that appointment he heads the technical department.

“He drives the decisions of the technical department. He also formulates and drives the policies that will develop football in Nigeria right from the grassroots to the Super Eagles,’’ Mohammed said.

The scribe explained that while Amodu formulated policies for the development of football in the country, Babangida would advise Oliseh on some of the policies and their implementation.

“Babangida is a personal assistant to Oliseh; he has nothing to do with the policies of the NFF technical department and what have you.

“In fact, he works with Oliseh and not with the NFF technical department,’’ he said.

Babangida said on Thursday that he was waiting for Oliseh to be in town to be able to talk with him on his duty schedule.

He said that his schedule meant those things that he was expected to do and the ones he was not expected to do.

Babangida also said that he would discharge his duty through positive advice to build a new Super Eagles.

Amodu and Babangida were appointed technical director and Special Adviser to the Super Eagles Head Coach, Sunday Oliseh, respectively by the NFF.

Amodu was appointed about two years ago by the Aminu Maigari-led board of the NFF but assumed duties on July 29, 2015 while Babangida, who was appointed last week, assumed duty on Aug. 13
