Baptist Conference tasks EFCC on professionalism
The President of the FCT Baptist Conference of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Israel Akanji has urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to show high sense of professionalism and verify their claims before making pronouncements in order not to damage the image of the institution or that of innocent citizens.
Briefing reporters on the international convention of the church billed for April 22-27, 2017 at the Abuja National Stadium, Akanji who commended the determination of government to reduce corruption to its barest minimum, noted that the rate at which humongous sums of money are being discovered in bank accounts, private homes and shops is becoming alarming but warned that the war against corruption must be devoid of witch-hunt and beyond mere populism.
