The Commissioner of Police in Bauchi State, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has charged officers and men of the Command to remain mentally alert, physically fit, and dedicated to their duty of safeguarding lives and property.
Aliyu gave the charge during the Command’s monthly road walk, which is aimed at promoting physical fitness and unity among officers.
Commending the personnel for their proactive approach to crime prevention and peacekeeping, the CP said the exercise was part of efforts to enhance operational readiness and morale within the Command.
“We are doing this every Wednesday and also on the first Saturday of every month. I’m particularly glad about the impressive turnout today — it shows our collective commitment to staying fit and united in the service of our nation,” Aliyu said.
Over 400 officers participated in the exercise, which began at the Police Headquarters, Yandoka Road, and covered major routes including Gida Mai Roundabout, Adamu Jumba Road, Ahmadu Bello Way, and Wunti Market, before returning to the Command Headquarters.
Aliyu reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to maintaining discipline, teamwork, and professionalism, urging officers to sustain the momentum in tackling crime and ensuring peace across Bauchi State.
