Bauchi governor appoints ex-commissioner as CoS
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has appointed the former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Dr. Aminu Gamawa, as the new Chief of Staff (CoS) Government House, Bauchi.
Mohammed had last Wednesday, dissolved his cabinet, including his CoS and Secretary to the State Government (SSG). He said that he asked them to go, to allow fresh politicians in his government.
While in Gamawa Local Council on Saturday to distribute empowerment items, the governor described the residents as helpers of his government, commending them for giving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the support it needed.
But his Media Adviser, Mukhtar Gidado, stated yesterday that Gamawa, who holds a Ph.D in Law from Harvard Law School at Harvard University, “is the new CoS to the Governor.”
