Bauchi State governor-elect, Senator Bala Muhammed has instructed his lawyers to institute a suit against outgoing Governor Mohammad Abdullahi Abubakar for last minute recruitment of civil servants, reinstatement of district heads and award of new contracts through State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

Bala Muhammed, while hosting Body of Bauchi Lawyers of Conscience (BOBALAC), yesterday, appreciated the pro bono representation offered him at the tribunal, saying their services were directly to the people of the state as the gesture was to defend their mandate.

The chief convener of BOBALAC, Shipi Rabo Esq. requested the governor-elect to grant them permission to sue Abubakar in court on the issues, which Bala gave a nod to.

He said he had hired five Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs), more than 20 senior lawyers and over 50 others voluntarily ready to defend him at tribunal.
