Bauchi okays institute to train, produce oil professionals

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the establishment of Petroleum Studies and Skills Acquisition Institute to train and produce professionals in the oil sector.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the establishment of Petroleum Studies and Skills Acquisition Institute to train and produce professionals in the oil sector.

The institute, according to Ladan Salihu, the spokesman to the governor, would be formed in collaboration with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University; Bauchi State University and the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE), Delta State.“This was the outcome of the governor’s visit to the chairman of the Tertiary Education Fund (ETF) and Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Ladan added.He said the institute would be located in Alkaleri town to also foster infrastructure development in the area.
