Bauchi State Government through its agency, the Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA) has given seven days ultimatum to all the political parties to remove their campaign posters, billboards, and others.

The Director General of the Agency, Dr. Kabir Ibrahim while addressing a press conference on Monday, said that politicking and electioneering have ended and it is time for government.

He said that his agency is charged with the protection and serenity of the Bauchi environment.

“We have written to all political parties and we have given them seven days to do that. If they failed to do so, we will consider it as waste and we don’t joke with wastes.

“This exercise is not only for government facilities, we are going to remove all campaign posters from private houses too.”

Kabir warned owners of business billboards from obstructing roads and roundabouts in the metropolis.
