Bayelsa government to offer automatic employment to First Class graduates


Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson yesterday said he had taken a decision to sign an executive order to give automatic employment to all First Class graduates in the state every year.

The governor said the executive order was aimed at ensuring that the automatic employment policy is sustained yearly even after the end of his administration.

A statement by Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Relations, Mr. Fidelis Soriwei, quoted the governor as having stated this during an induction ceremony for 31 First Class graduates who were offered automatic employment at the Government House, Yenagoa, on Monday.

Meanwhile, Director-General of the Bayelsa State Investment Promotion Agency (BIPA), Patience Ranami-Abah, yesterday disclosed that the state had been ranked first among South-South states in the World Bank’s 2018 Sub-National Doing Business in Nigeria report released on October 21, 2018, and second among all states in southern Nigeria as a whole.She said it is no longer secret that Bayelsa is the most attractive investment destination in the South-South region of the country.
