Bayelsa indigenous oil servicing company lauds Buhari, NASS over Oloibiri museum
The Oloibiri Oil and Gas Services Limited, an indigenous oil servicing company in Oloibiri community of Bayelsa State, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari, for approving N35b for the Oloibiri Museum project.
The Company’s Managing Director, Epereola Amangala, also lauded the Senate for directing the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), and concerned contractors to mobilise to the site, and commence the immediate construction of the Oil and Gas Research Centre and Museum (OGRCM) in Oloibiri.
Amangala, who spoke to newsmen in Yenagoa, on the heels of the Senate decision to push for the immediate action on the museum project, said with the senate’s current stance on the project, the people of Oloibiri who were long abandoned would now heave a sigh of relief.
Oloibiri town was the first place where crude oil was discovered in commercial quantity, but the town was abandoned after the crude was drilled by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC).
