All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Benue State, Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has called on aggrieved contestants in the party’s primary to sheathe their swords and join him to rescue the state.

This is contained in a statement signed by his media aide, Mr. Tersoo Kula, and issued to journalists, yesterday, in Makurdi.

“For the sake of brotherliness, join me to bring victory to the party and the state, the Catholic priest appealed to them while reacting to the APC court victory over Mr. Herman Hembe of the Labour Party (LP).

Hembe had sued APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), praying the court, among others issues, to order INEC to disregard APC primaries that produced Alia as governorship candidate.
