Bishops urge Muslims to shun evil, violence
The International Communion of Charismatic and Apostolic Ministers (ICCAM) College of Bishops has felicitated with the Muslim community as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitri.
The group, in their goodwill message, enjoined Muslims to use the festive period to pray for Nigeria’s unity and de-emphasis on things that can divide the country.
The Apostolic Presbyter, Bishop (Dr.) Taiwo Akinola, who spoke through their leader, implored Muslims to eschew evil and violence and be “our brothers keeper.”
The group spoke yesterday in Lagos at a press briefing to announce the funeral arrangements of one of its members, the late Archbishop (Dr.) Joseph Olanrewaju Obembe, who passed on May 1, 2019 at the age of 63.
