The Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Global Organisation for Sustainable Development Goals Inc., (GOSDG) Ambassador Dahiru Biu, has tasked the organisation’s Board Chairman, Hajiya Samira Sheriff, with sustaining her advocacy for sustainable development, humanitarian action and women’s empowerment.
Biu gave the charge in a congratulatory message while celebrating Sheriff’s leadership and contributions to international diplomacy, sustainable development and humanitarian engagement.
He described Sheriff’s dedication, visionary leadership and commitment to women’s empowerment and humanitarian causes as commendable, noting that her contributions had continued to inspire confidence and respect across global platforms.
Sheriff is the Board Chairman of the Global Organization for Sustainable Development Goals Inc., Designated Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Global Envoy for UN Women-related engagements, Head of Diplomatic Coordination with UN Women, and Designated Representative for Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Engagements.
Biu said Sheriff’s engagement with high-level stakeholders and her contributions to strengthening multilateral cooperation placed her in a strategic position to advance sustainable development initiatives and humanitarian action.
“Your continued dedication, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable development, humanitarian action, women’s empowerment, and global partnership are truly commendable.
“Your impactful contributions within the international diplomatic and development space continue to inspire confidence and respect across global platforms,” he said.
The GOSDG boss further urged Sheriff to remain committed to initiatives that promote sustainable development and strengthen humanitarian interventions, particularly those advancing the welfare and empowerment of women.

He also praised Sheriff’s passion for humanitarian action and women’s empowerment, describing her as “the epitome of a good mother” whose advocacy for vulnerable groups and women remained exceptional.
Biu, who also served as a former Deputy Director of Youth Programmes, said Sheriff’s leadership represented an important contribution to the organisation’s efforts to promote sustainable development, humanitarian engagement and global partnerships.
