‘Brave Soldier’ emerges champions at Saleh Gloves boxing promotions
Management of Saleh Gloves Promotions have pledged more local and international boxing fight after staging of Las Gidi Fight Night Season 4 at the Rowe Park Sports Complex, Yaba, Lagos at the weekend.
‘Brave Soldier’, Rilwan Lawal emerged the new national and West Africa Featherweight champion after his seventh round TKO over Fatai Nurudeen while ‘Sleeky Soldier’ Taiwo Olotu outpunched Kazeen Ariyo to be crowned new national welterweight champion.
Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Saleh Gloves promotions, Saleh Fawaz, said they were highly impressed with quality of boxing in all bouts, adding that he would organise Las Gidi Fight night more regularly.
“The boxers showed great professionalism at Las Gidi Fight night 4 also tagged ‘The Resolution’. We also appreciate the huge turnout of boxing fans and great cooperation of the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control NBB of Control (NBB of C).
“We are particularly grateful to Dr. Rafiu Ladipo (President NBB of C) Remi Aboderin (Secretary) and our sponsors.
“All things being equal, we shall promote more professional boxing fights as our target is to create the much needed platform for Nigerian boxers to excel nationally and internationally,” he stated.
