British High Commission closes its Office for Queen’s funeral

The British High Commission on Friday announced that its offices in Abuja, Lagos and across Nigeria will be closed on Monday, September 19.

The British High Commission on Friday announced that its offices in Abuja, Lagos and across Nigeria will be closed on Monday, September 19.

The Commission said the decision is to observe Queen Elizabeth Il’s funeral.

Britain’s longest-reigning monarch Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96 on Thursday, September 8.

It also stated that the United Kingdom (UK) visa application centres in Abuja and Lagos will remain open.
