Buhari condemns terrorists’ attack on Katsina vigilance group
President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the attack on vigilantes at Yargoje forest in Jibia Local Council of Katsina State, where many lives were lost. The insurgents had ambushed a convoy of vigilantes as they went to recover stolen cows.
The President also paid tribute to the vigilantes and family members, who were killed, saying the sacrifice of the brave men who had been working to prevent and punish crime in their communities, would not be forgotten.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families in this difficult period. May Allah repose the soul of the deceased,” Buhari said in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.
