Buhari condoles with accountant general over father’s death
President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, over the death of his father, Alhaji Hussain Idris.
In a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the president said the deceased “did not only live for himself, but also devoted his life to the service of humanity through his philanthropic deeds.”
The late Idris died yesterday after a protracted illness and was aged 96 years.
The announcement was contained in a statement in a statement issued by the Director of Press and Information in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, Henshaw Ogubike.
He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
