Buhari, Ize-Iyamu meet in Abuja
President Muhammadu Buhari is meeting with the governorship candidate of his ruling All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, in Abuja.
Ize-Iyamu, formerly of the opposition People’s Democratic Party is squaring up against PDP’s Godwin Obaseki, formerly of APC, in the September 19 governorship election in the state. Obaseki is currently the governor of the Edo.
Ize-Iyamu was led to the Presidential Villa by Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe and chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker Committee.
Also in the delegation was the governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, and his Kano State counterpart, Abdullahi Ganduje.
