Buhari names new heads for NSCDC, Prisons, NEITI

The Federal Government, yesterday, named Ahmed Abubakar Audi and Haliru Nababa as the new Comptrollers-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS).

The Federal Government, yesterday, named Ahmed Abubakar Audi and Haliru Nababa as the new Comptrollers-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS).

A statement by Director of Press and Public Relations, Muhammed Manga, quoted the Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, as saying that their appointments was done after they emerged as the best candidates in a rigorous selection process conducted by the ministry.

President Muhammadu Buhari also approved the appointment of Dr. Orji Ogbonnaya Orji as Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) with effect from February 19, 2021 (today).

A statement issued by NEITI’s Director of Information, Willie Bassey, revealed that before Orji’s appointment, he was the agency’s Director of Communications and Advocacy.
