Buni tasks APC faithful on Rancour free LG congress

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has described its local council congress holding today as a family affair.

APC’s Caretaker Chairman, Mallam Mai Mala Buni, who stated this yesterday, urged members of the party to conduct themselves peacefully during the exercise.

The Yobe State governor stressed the need for the exercise to be rancor-free, maintaining that the party has substantially complied with the dictates of its constitution.

He reassured members that the party would address all anomalies that might be employed to manipulate the results of the congress, calling on aggrieved members to route their complaints through the constituted channels for seeking redress.

He charged officials handing the local council congress to be free, just, and fair to all aspirants, urging the aspirants to respect the rule of the game and embrace the spirit of sportsmanship.

“We should all abide by the rules governing the election to remain a role model to other political parties,” he said.
