CAC, NTDA partner on tourism
The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) have concluded plans to re-engineer the country’s tourism sector.
The NDTC delegation, led by its Director-General, Mr. Folorunsho Coker, was at the Commission to seek synergy to sanitise the industry. It also requested partnership in service delivery, statistics and crime control.
In a statement by CAC Head, Public Affairs, Godfrey Ike, the acting Registrar-General, Lady Azuka Azinge, commended the NTDC for the visit and review of the tourism law.
Earlier, Coker stressed that his agency was reinvigorating the industry with a review of the tourism law. He regretted the misconception that tourism is all about leisure, saying it is a business of hospitality that adds value to the economy.
