The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has congratulated the President-General of the Supreme Council on Islamic Affairs and the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar 111, and all Muslim Faithful on their successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast.

CAN implore the Muslims not to cease from continuously praying for the peace, unity and stability of the country.

In a statement yesterday in Abuja, CAN General Secretary, Barry Joseph Bade Daramola noted that the yearly spiritual exercise, was in obedience to the Holy Quran that says, “O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.” — Surat Al-Baqarah 2:183.

Daramola urged Muslims all over the world to continue to pray for a speedy end to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The CAN’s scribe commended Nigerians for their cooperation with the government so far in its attempts to curtail the spread of the coronavirus, despite all the inconveniences and hardships.
