CAN president charges Osinbajo, Ambode on economic growth
President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Dr. Supo Ayokunle, has charged Christian leaders in public offices, including Vice President, Prof. Yemi Oshibanjo, and Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, to use their offices to refocus the country’s economy for the better.
Speaking at the 64th annual convention service of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), held at Redemption Camp, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway with
Ayokunle who is also President, Nigerian Baptist Convention, said that the prayers of Christians can do a lot. On that score, he charged them to pray for the body of Christ in Nigeria because it is under siege.”
General Overseer, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye announced that at the last count, a total of 89 babies (53 boys and 36 girls) were born at the camp’s maternity unit since the beginning of the convention on the August 1.
He prayed for women seeking the fruit of the womb, saying that they would return to testify at the next convention.
The week-long programme, which ends today, will witness the ordination of new pastors of the church.
