The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, has challenged members of the Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) of the diocese to be role models in the society.

Bishop Ezeokafor made the call at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Awka, at the weekend, during the celebration of 45th anniversary of the C.W.O, Awka diocese/ induction of 115 new members.

The prelate also charged the women to be light bearers and social crusaders in their families, as well as the society at large.

Speaking at the event, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, urged the electorate to be prayerful for a successful 2023 general elections.

Obi said he is more eligible to lead Nigeria to greater heights than any other presidential candidate vying for office of the president in 2023.

According to him, the Labour Party has the capacity to pull Nigeria out of its economic doldrums, even as he regretted that the country is sinking with Nigerians suffering untold hardship.
