Ogurie, known for his powerful vocal prowess; Ifeoma Nduka, whose emotive performances have garnered significant acclaim; and Json Somto, a rising star in the opera scene. The ensemble also features talents such as Ibor Victoria, Gina Anthony E, Belynda Feboke, Matt S. Abah, Paschal Nworgu, MC Africa, Faith Ugorji, and many more, creating a diverse and vibrant showcase of artistry.

This series not only elevates the musical landscape of Nigeria but also provides a platform for vital conversations, making “Choir Chronicles” a must-watch for anyone interested in a unique blend of culture, art, and social consciousness. As the premiere approaches, the anticipation continues to build, promising an experience that will leave a lasting impact on its audience.

The creator and executive producer of the series, Sam C. Ezugwu, shared his inspiration for “Choir Chronicles”. With over two decades of experience as a choir director, he recognised that the stage only reveals a fraction of the full narrative. He expressed that the behind-the-scenes aspects late-night rehearsals, ego clashes, silent sacrifices, and instances of grace are often overlooked. He aims to shine a light on these untold stories, alongside the romance and lighthearted moments that occur offstage.

Ezugwu also highlighted the incredible talents of musicians and opera singers who may not receive the recognition they deserve. He envisioned this platform as a means to both entertain and elevate the visibility of these artists, sharing the authentic and raw experiences of choir life. He believes that “Choir Chronicles” will resonate with anyone who has participated in a choir, while also serving as an eye-opener for those who have not, encapsulating the essence of why “choir is life.”

He further emphasized, “Choir Chronicles is not just for music enthusiasts; it’s for anyone who values family, discipline, and the beauty of imperfect individuals coming together to create something extraordinary. Come for the music, stay for the truth!”

The director and cinematographer, Gabriel Jah, shared his motivation for joining this unique project. He expressed a desire to engage with original ventures, noting that while many dramas and homegrown stories are visible in the industry, music-centered narratives are rarer. He acknowledged the challenges of finding actors who can both act and sing, appreciating the opportunity to contribute to a project that melds the two art forms.

Regarding the production experience, Jah mentioned that the main challenge has been the usual unpredictability related to actors being late on set, which he considers a common occurrence in the industry.
